Havill, David “Brian”: Surrounded by his family, David passed away peacefully at his home, after his courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the age of 70.
Beloved husband for 42 years to Carol (nee Lebbern) Havill. Loving father of Sharon Robbins (Timothy) of Blair and Paula Havill of Toronto. Cherished granddad of Amara and Rhianne. He will be remembered by his family from Canada and England, his many dear friends especially Bill and Sandy Henderson, Alex Wilson, and the members of the Paris Fair Board.
David retired from Kitchener Transit in 2005 after 30 years of service. He was the President of the Paris Agricultural Society and a member of the Maycourt Puppeteers. David was known by many for his passion for speedway, his brilliant sense of humour and his crooked smile.
David’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Tuesday (today) from 7-9pm and Wednesday from 12-12:45pm. Funeral Services for David will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 1pm. Major Wayne Hong officiating. Interment Williamsburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maycourt Puppeteers or the Paris Agricultural Society would be appreciated by the family.
