The Paris fair may not have been blessed with great weather this year but race fans were blessed with some great action at Paris Speedway this past Saturday. Early on in the day the skys looked a little threatening, but that seemed to change once the racing started as it became quite hot, much like the action on the track.
The open expert field was a bit dwindled due to a ...

Last Friday For Awhile

This past weekend saw the end of regular season racing for the 2013 season at Paris Speedway. The action this week will now shift to our season finale which will take place Saturday afternoon during the Paris Fair and will be held under the Flat track Canada banner. The racing action was awesome in every class last week but a special shout out goes to Doug Lawrence who was making a rare appearance in Paris and also to Jimmy Mccullough ...

Just Some Thoughts

It is hard to imagine but summer is almost over already. With the calendar approaching mid-August, that means there are only two more regular Friday night races on the schedule. With that in mind I just wanted to take a couple of minutes to reflect on our season to date.
1)Mother Nature: Not sure what her problem has been this year but wow she has been unkind to say the least. With a few racing dates washed out and a ...

Deadman Does The Double

Posted by:

Friday night saw some spectacular riding by Paris Speedway regular Boyd Deadman. Along with taking the victory in 50cc chain action, Deadman was also able to grab the checkers in the 65cc main event. In what was most likely the most exciting race of the night, Deadman was able to squeak out the win over 65cc points leader Hunter Bauer with Jimmy McCullough right on Bauer’s back wheel in third. Bauer however did find some redemption in the flat track ...

Not Again !!!

For the second time in two weeks, the big winner at Paris Speedway appears to be Mother Nature. With the track already taking in a lot of moisture over the past day and a not so favourable forecast in sight, the decision has been made to cancel the races for July 5th. Hope to see everybody at practice next Tuesday and we look forward to providing another great night of action on July 12th.

See Ya Next Friday

Doug x 2

Fans were once again treated to a great show last Friday at Paris Speedway. With the program moving along at record pace, the races were over and the bikes were loaded before Jason Hunter’s little ones were even tucked into bed. With seven intermediate/expert riders on hand, they put on a great show as always. It is amazing the speeds these guys can reach on the tiny track and they continue to entertain the fans week after ...

U.S. Invasion

Action last Friday at Paris Speedway saw the Lions share of the money head south of the border as two of America’s finest made a stop at the short track. “Flyin” Ryan Wells and Corey Crawford made the trip from New York a day early as they were headed to the Flat Track Canada event in Welland on Saturday. In the intermediate/ expert final it was all Wells as he won on the short track for the second time in ...

Perfect Playday

This past Saturday was another wonderful day at the track with a large contigent of riders taking advantage of the awesome weather (finally) to turn some laps on the famed short track in Paris. Practice was intense at times with groups of riders engaged in some great battles that were as entertaining as many race nights.
Once again Outlaw Productions was on hand taking video and photos of all of the action. They do great work so make sure you ...

Molnar Mania

The final Friday night points event has come and gone. With the Paris Fair this weekend, the races will be held on Saturday afternoon in front of what will undoubtedly be the biggest crowd of the season.
Last Friday the racers on hand once again put on a great show for the Paris faithful. Ride of the night would have to go to Jordan Molnar in the 50 Shaft A final. Languishing at the back of the pack for a ...

Track Perfection

Posted by:

After a not so promising start to the evening Friday, action got underway on what was most likely the nicest racing surface of the year. A twenty-five minute rain combined with dedicated track prep by Joe Hesmer combined to give the riders a beautiful track to race on.
Tyler Seguin was the big winner on the night as he took the flat track expert class victory despite an inspired ride by Braden Vallee in second. Seguin also put on quite ...
